Moral Sanity Revolutionizes Web Radio
Tuesday, April 3, 2007

We are deeply gratified by the responses we've received since the broadcast first began. There have been a number of very encouraging letters and some very insightful feedback.

Here is what people are saying:

"Nicely produced radio show."
Brian

"Thank you so much!!! I cannot find the words to express how excited this makes me. The world as we know it is changing so rapidly and we Christians need a leader like Tristan."
Ken

"Thank You for your wonderful show and your strength and determination to ensure social and family values are recognized."
Sandra

The No Apologies radio show is dedicated to
three fundamental concepts:

Billed as a "Moral Sanity Revolution", No Apologies promises to advance consistent social conservative thoughts and values through the medium of talk-radio.

And we'll do this by focusing on three goals.

  1. Challenging the secular media juggernaut.
  2. Consistently illustrating that political correctness is false, irrational and absurd.
  3. Championing the truth - especially when that truth seems politically incorrect.
With these factors in mind we are producing a cutting edge radio talk show that will represent your values.

Answering your questions:

The many responses we have received also reveal that we need to do a better job of clarifying exactly what the broadcast is and what it is not.

Q. Why do you keep talking about American issues instead of focusing on Canadian content?

The culture war that we are facing as Christians in Canada, and that we are confronting with our No Apologies radio program is not restricted to Canada. Canadians and Americans are fighting the same battles. In a very real way, we are two different fronts in the same war. Because of this, there is much we can learn from each other. That is why it is important to sometimes talk about some of the problems being faced in the United States - because we can learn from the tactics used by our enemy there as well as the strategies used by America's social conservatives.

And American conservatives are also interested in what is going on in Canada because, in many respects, Canada is much further down the road towards Secularism so Americans can look to Canada to anticipate the battles they will soon face. With the help of my book, Warned, I have been networking with a growing number of American cultural leaders and they are interested in what I have to say about the culture war in Canada.

So Canadian and American conservatives are in this battle together and that is why our goal for No Apologies is that it would be a North American phenomenon, not just a Canadian program.

Thankfully a few Americans have picked up on this:
"Mark I don't know if you've heard of this guy Tristan Emanuel but he's making some big noise for Christian rights in Canada, and now he's got a new Christian radio program called no apologies. He's been on WMUZ with Bob Dutko, and I think he's been on Focus on the family, I think he's really good. Send this link to … and everyone you can. He makes a lot of sense. I pray we Christians will really band together and unite finally as we should."
Ken
Q. Why do have those sarcastic items mixed into your radio broadcasts?

These segments that people refer to as sarcastic are expressions of satire. Satire is a legitimate rhetorical tool. Unfortunately, because satire often comes across as harsh, many Christians refuse to use it. Instead, Christians today prefer to use careful, dry and sensitive approaches to debate. As a result, most non-Christians consider us weak or boring - or both. And that approach hasn't won us any cultural victories in the mean time.

Today's Western Christians are an anomaly in the universal Church with our desire to be nicer than Jesus. The Bible is full of examples of harshness and even sarcasm and mockery from the prophets, through St. Paul, and including Christ Himself. The early church fathers were also often quite colourful with their language when confronting heresy and error. The same goes for people like Martin Luther and John Calvin. And the current Catholic Pope is not exactly known for tiptoeing through the tulips.

North American Christians need to discover some holy boldness as they take on the increasingly extremist, bizarre, offensive and dangerous ideas and practises pushed on us by Secular Humanists.

Q. Your music is awful. Can't you find better stuff?

No Apologies is a Talk Show, so we need to include music that is bold and dramatic to provide the right atmosphere for a Talk Show. We're continuing to look at different music and we may well test other music in future shows, but whatever music we use will be fast and dynamic in order to cultivate the atmosphere we want for the kind of programming that attracts today's younger people, who are becoming our future leaders, the kind of people who need to tune in and listen to the programming presented on No Apologies.

For a limited time only, we are offering the first 6 shows FREE.
